Spring ’18 Sephora VIB Sale

Yesterday, the spring Sephora VIB sale started, so I thought I would round up some of my favorite skin care and makeup products to make your shopping easier.  I also included some products that I’ve been eyeing up or just think would be good options too!  A lot of these products don’t go on sale often, that’s why it’s a great time to stock up on some of your holy grail products and also try some new products.  When looking at new products to try, I always like to purchase some more expensive products during the sale so I can try them without paying full price.

You can shop this sale if you’re a beauty insider, VIB , or Rouge member.  If you’re VIB or Rouge, you can receive 15% off with the codes YAYVIB and YAYROUGE.  If you’re a beauty insider, you can receive 10% off with the code YAYINSIDER.  This shale runs through Monday, April 23rd.  To shop any of the products I talk about below, simply score through the slides and click any of the images.  You’ll be taken to the direct link.  I’ve also linked a few items in the information below the categories.  You can click these as well to be taken to direct links.

Disney World: Travel Guide

We are so excited about today’s post!  It involves two things we love: Disney World and traveling.  We went to Disney World the end of February this year for the Disney Princess Half Marathon weekend.  Although that was our main reason for going, we still made the most of our free time by hitting up multiple parks.  We’ve been going to Disney World since we were little and still love it as adults.  We thought it would be fun to create a Disney World travel guide for you based on all of our favorite things and recommendations.  We’re giving you the low down on where to stay, recommendations for each park and Disney Springs, as well as general tips and tricks.

Sometimes when you’re getting ready on those cold winter mornings all you want is a quick and easy outfit. Minnesota’s winter has been extra cold this year. That’s why I need to be prepared with winter staples.

J. Crew Factory Casual, Winter OOTD

Happy Friday!  It’s been awhile since our last blog post.  Honestly we’ve been feeling a bit uninspired lately.   This time of the year can be a bit hard for us fashion-wise.  Winter starts to feel long and we end up feeling like we wear the same outfits and shoes on repeat.  Hopefully we’ll get back into posting blog posts consistently very soon!

On another note- we’re at that awkward time in the year where you want to start shopping for spring, yet it’s still really cold outside(at least if you live somewhere where it truly feels like winter).  I’ve definitely been tempted to start shopping for spring clothes, but I’ve resisted since spring is nowhere near in sight for me.  You’ll find me bundled up in sweaters for at least another month.  Since I’m still wearing winter clothes and will be for awhile, today I’m sharing with you another cozy, winter outfit.

Winter Fashion Must-Haves

We are well into the winter season, which also happens to be my least favorite season.  Sorry all of you winter lovers!  I love the holiday season, but once that’s over I’m ready for the snow and cold to go away.  During the winter months, I find I get into a bit of a fashion rut eventually as well.  With living in Minnesota, I feel like I’m stuck wear the same few pairs of shoes (boots/booties) because I don’t want to ruin my other ones with the salt.  Then I end up having my go-to sweaters, vests, and leggings that are on repeat because they are what’s most comfortable, yet warm.  The rest of my clothes are left neglected.  Anyone else find themselves in a fashion rut during the winter?

This winter, I’m trying really hard not to fall completely into my usual fashion rut.  Some weeks when it’s really cold, it does happen.  However, I feel like I’m doing better at switching up my outfits.  If you find yourself needing some winter fashion inspiration, I hope you’ll get it in today’s post.  I’m going to share with you my winter fashion must-haves.  The fashion picks I’m sharing with you are the things that I find myself reaching for again and again because I love them so much.  To shop any of these items, simply click the title below the image.

My Top 17 Books of 2017

Since 2017 has come to a close, I thought it would be fun to share with you my top favorite books that I read in 2017.  I’m a HUGE book worm and am almost always in the middle of reading a book.  This year I read 83 books (outside of teaching), which I think is a good accomplishment considering I was finishing up grad school for half of the year.

The books I’m sharing with you today are in no particular order.  I’m a very indecisive person so I thought I would have too much difficulty putting them in an order.  These books are the ones I read in 2017 that I rated the highest, recommended to others, overall loved and just stuck with me after finishing them.  Let’s get into my top reads.

Gymshark Review: Fitness Apparel

5BF97FFB-FA1C-48AD-A0FA-C2BFA2475523

Since I’m big into running, I’m always looking for new workout clothes to try.  In today’s blog post, I’m going to give you my honest review on a new brand that I stumbled across.  I found out about Gymshark a few months ago through Instagram. A couple of the fitness accounts I follow, wear their products religiously when working out. I had gone back and forth about getting some to try out and finally broke down and got some! I bought three products from Gymshark. I got the high-waisted seamless cropped leggings in blueberry marl and black marl. I also bought the serene sports crop top in black.  Now let’s get into the review.  I’m going to give my thoughts on the price and quality, as well as my overall thoughts.
