Christmas Day Looks

This year for Christmas, we spent the day with our immediate family at our parents’ house.  We had a fun and relaxing day spent eating, opening presents, and just spending time together.  One of our favorite things about Christmas now is seeing how excited our niece and nephew (who are 2 and 4) get about Christmas and opening presents!  As far as our outfits went for Christmas this year, we ended up coordinating our outfits as you can see.  Velvet is really in right now and Red Dress Boutique had pieces that were perfect for Christmas without being over the top.  Our looks were completed with over the knee boots from Hope’s that came literally just in time for Christmas.  We love that these boots don’t have a big heel like so many over the knee boots do.  These boots are super comfortable and were also under $40!  Check out the rest of our outfit details below:

Christmas Eve OOTD

On Christmas Eve our family has a couple traditions that we do every year.  We always attend a Christmas Eve church service, which is one of our favorite church services of the year.  After we get back from church, we eat a simple meal together that doesn’t require too much prep (lately it’s been lasagna-yum), and then we watch A Christmas Story.  We love these simple traditions because we get to spend them with our family, which is one of the best things about the holiday season!  Here’s our looks from Christmas Eve:

I always look forward to picking out the perfect outfit for Christmas Eve. I wanted this year to tie in Christmas colors so I went with a red portofino shirt from Express. If you haven’t ever gotten a portofino shirt before I definitely recommend them. They are great for so many occasions. Plus right now is a great time to buy them because Express is 50% off everything!  I knew I wanted to wear a skirt with this shirt so I decided on my herringbone skirt from J. Crew. Since I was going to church and wanted to be dressier I decided to break out my classic black Dior purse.

I ordered this dress recently from Red Dress Boutique and got it just in time to wear it on Christmas Eve.   I really love the dusty plum color of it!  I don’t have any clothing items that are this color, and I really like how this color looks with my skin and hair.  I decided to wear this J. Crew Factory statement necklace with it, along with booties to make this look dressier.   I love that this dress can be dressed up or down, depending on what kind of look your going for!

Stay tuned for our Christmas day outfit of the day post coming up in a few days!

Friday’s Look

On Friday I went out to eat and did some shopping with Michelle. It was a little colder out but I didn’t want to have to deal with hauling a coat around. I decided to wear a puffer vest. This gray herringbone vest looks great paired with the army green Piko dress. I absolutely love Piko dresses & shirts. They come in a ton of different colors and depending on the color, you can wear it all year round.

Happy Monday!

Work OOTD

J. Crew Factory Sweater Vest | Gap Button Up | J. Crew Factory Skirt | Tory Burch Bracelet | Toms Booties | Target Tights

Even though I have a Catholic school girl vibe going on I still love this work outfit! I never thought that I would own a sweater vest but now I have two. I think they look so cute paired with a skirt! Speaking of skirts if you don’t already own this style of skirt from J. Crew Factory I highly suggest it. I have multiple colors in it and am always wanting more. I like how comfortable they are as well as the length. Plus J. Crew Factory is great about doing sales so you usually can find it for at least 25% off. My favorite part about this outfit is this skirt is perfect for the holiday season!

Hope you enjoyed my work OOTD!

Thanksgiving OOTD

We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving spent with family and/or friends!  Hopefully you were able to do some Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping as well to snag some deals!  We had a great Thanksgiving that consisted of family time and a lot of food.  It’s been awhile since we’ve done an Outfit of the Day post for you, so we figured we’d get back into it with our Thanksgiving looks.

When it comes to Thanksgiving, I like to wear something that looks dressy yet is still comfortable.  This sweater from Red Dress Boutique is a great fall color and I like it’s tunic style length.  I’ve worn this sweater with jeggings before, but since I wanted the outfit to look dressier, I decided to go with leggings this time.  Plus I figured that leggings are much more comfortable when you’re going to be eating a lot of food!  I finished off my look with one of my go-to statement necklaces and a pair of brown booties from Hope’s that I’m currently loving!

I recently bought this dress from Red Dress Boutique and had been looking for the perfect opportunity to wear it. I was a little hesitant to wear it for Thanksgiving at first since it was a little short but once I put tights on I felt like it made it a little more family appropriate. Since the dress has a large floral design on it I opted to only wear my Tory Burch bracelet with it.  I’m obsessed with these brown booties right now! They are perfect for the fall and I’m glad I was able to make them work with my outfit for Thanksgiving!

Enjoy the rest of the week!

Fall OOTD

| Ivy & Leo Dress | Ivy & Leo Scarf | Toms Wedges |

FINALLY I can start breaking out my scarves! I love nothing more than fall fashion and I was very excited to take advantage of this chillier day by wearing my new scarf. I love the thickness of this scarf. It’s thicker without feeling like it’s too big on me and taking over. It worked out great that I had a t-shirt dress that matches it perfectly! What’s your favorite fall fashion go to?

Graduation OOTD

On Saturday, I graduated from college! After four years of making memories at Iowa State University, it was definitely bitter sweet to say goodbye. During my time there I was able to meet so many great people through my sorority, classes, and organizations I was involved in. Even though this chapter of my life has come to a close, I am very excited for the next chapter of my life! I will be starting my job in June and will be moving in with Michelle within the next week!

Sisters Weekend OOTD

We were luckily able to hangout one last time in Rachel’s college town this past weekend before she graduates!  We spent time shopping, eating, and visiting a beautiful garden in Rachel’s college town.  Since there were so many pretty flowers and it was a nice day out, we had to take some pictures of course!  Check out our outfit details below!

OOTD: Vespers

| Dillard’s Dress | Jessica Simpson Heels | Tory Burch Bracelet | Chanel Earrings |

This week was my last Greek Week. It’s crazy to think that I will be graduating in just over a month! At the end of Greek Week, we have a big awards ceremony called Vespers. During Vespers, awards are handed out for not only Greek Week, but also awards for different chapters’ achievements throughout the year. Everyone always goes all out and gets dressed up for it. I decided to go with a navy Dillard’s dress for today. I just love the lace top of this dress plus the back has see-through lace! Since I went with a navy dress I paired it with nude heels. I debated between gold or silver accessories but I ended up deciding to go with simple gold accessories.
