If you’ve been reading our blog for awhile or following us on Instagram, then you know that Rachel and I love wearing Lilly Pulitzer during the warmer months. This summer I got some new Lilly Pulitzer pieces while I was in South Carolina. Shout out to The Pink Cabana in Myrtle Beach and the wonderful ladies that helped my sisters and I pick out all of our Lilly goodies! I’m excited to share this particular t-shirt dress with you because it’s perfect for summer and so versatile. It may be August, but we still have at least a month left of wearing Lilly Pulitzer, depending on the weather where you live.

First off, this dress is so soft and comfortable! I think that’s what I first drawn to when I tried on this dress. I really love this print and the colors of this dress as well. I don’t think I have any Lilly Pulitzer dresses that are mostly blues. I’ve been wanting to get a Lilly Pulitzer t-shirt dress for awhile, but I hadn’t had good luck with finding one in a print that I liked and that fit me well. I ended up getting a size small in this dress. Usually I wear extra small in Lilly Pulitzer. However, I sized up for this dress since it’s more form fitting and I didn’t want it hugging my hips too closely. If you don’t have much for curves, I suggest getting this dress in your usual size.
One thing that I really like about Lilly Pulitzer clothing is that you really don’t have to do much for jewelry and accessories since the patterns are already a statement in themselves. With this dress, the only jewelry I wore were a pair of J. Crew Factory stud earrings. I then went with a neutral Rebecca Minkoff crossbody bag and finished off the look with some nude sandals from Target that have a kitten heel. I really like how this look came together. I wore this dress running errands and was comfortable the whole time. I look put together and didn’t really have to put that much effort into it. This dress is so versatile though because you can easily wear it for both casual and dressy occasions, depending on how you style it with your hair, jewelry, accessories, and shoes.
I think this dress would look great with ballet flats, wedges, flat sandals, a classic heel, and even Converse sneakers. Color-wise, I think nude, white, or brown would be the best color options for shoes and handbags. As far as handbags go, you could also pair this dress with a handbag that is one of the colors from the dress to make more of a statement. When looking at jewelry to go with this dress, I suggest keeping it simple. You could do just earrings like me or you could even do earrings, a necklace and bracelets. For earrings, I think studs are the best option. If I were to wear a necklace with this dress, I would either wear a monogrammed necklace or a delicate gold necklace. I would also wear simple bracelets with this as well. On chilly days/nights, this dress would look great with a cardigan or blazer as well. Really the options for this dress are endless depending on the look you’re going for!

It is a great bag! I’m pretty sure I got it a few years ago at an outlet mall, so I was able to get a good deal on it!

Thank you! I’ll wear Lilly in the spring and sometimes in the fall too. I don’t usually wear it in the winter because I live in the Midwest and it doesn’t work with the weather conditions. If I lived where it stayed warm in the winter, I probably would wear it all year round!
